Nindyl

Born unto this realm at the age of 20 with no knowledge of any family or any of his past, he started to explore armed only with his curiosity and thirst for knowledge. He studied the ancient tomes and sought aid and guidance from other mortals he came across, trying to work out where he should fit in to this world.

Most notable of the mortals that helped him were Cannagon, Wysteria, Morgaine and Axzantia. The latter being born slightly earlier than himself became one of his closest friends and companion on exploring expeditions. It was not long after meeting these people that he learned of the arcan art, and knew in his heart that he should strive to become a mage.

With that in mind he began studying in preparation to join the Mages guild under Cannagon and Wysteria, but whilst this was to happen over some years, Nindyl wanted to feel a part of something, a community. Wysteria was the Queen of the "City of the Free" known as Maine and he welcomed the oppourtunity to join its citizens at the age of 21. Shortly afterwards he joined up to the Citizen Relations and Events Department lead by Alinnia to contribute to his new home during his studying.

Explore and study he did with determination and a seemingly unending desire to try to better himself wherever possible. Wanting to learn about the lands and its secrets as well as its dangers. It was this determination that allowed him to join the Mages guild a full year early at 23 and no sooner was his induction completed, he studied more - this time Arcana, the magic of the Mages.

It was during his study of magic and also in depth discussions with Wysteria that he realised he wanted a relgious aspect to hiss life. He learned of Dante, the Goddess of Destiny, Fate and Doom from Wysteria who was Dante's High Priestess as well as aforementioned Queen of Maine and Elder Mage. These discussions led Nindyl to please he wanted to walk the same path as Wysteria, to be a citizen of Maine, a Mage and a follower of Dante. By the age of 25 his studying in arcana showed when he attained the rank of Magos within the guild. it was also at this age that Dante accepted him in to her fold. Now he felt his life had more meaning and that he had managed to find things he felt comfortable being a part of; Maine as a citizen, the Mages as a scholor of the acrane art and lastly, Dante's order as a follower eager to please.

However, even though this pleased him, Dante's teachings to mortals are "strive to better oneself", something Nindyl wholeheartedly believed in and hence, his studies never faltered.

At the age of 26, he had taken on the responsability of Groundskeeper for Dante's temple, now owned a shop in Maine as well as continuing his work for Alinnia's department and had joined the ranks of mentors for the Mages guild passing on some of his knowledge to new students.

It was at this age that he walked the realm when Ashalon's voice hissed across the land, issuing the challenge of a Grand Melee for those mortals under the age of 35, the prize was a platinum bladed spear. So the prize was a weapon, in reality something that Nindyl didnt really need being that he had studied spellcraft not swordplay so to speak. But he didnt see it that way, to Nindyl he saw it as an opportunity to test his arcane skills and to prove himself.

He was the first to arrive at the site Ashalon selected for this event and there he waited for all challengers. Three mortals challenged him and all three were people he called friend and would not have even considered even attacking, but this was a contest and all involved knew this not to be a battle of hatred. Nindyl was finally declared the the victor and the spear was now his and even though he knew others in the land could fight better than he with such a weapon, it was more than just a spear to him, it was a trophy reminding him he has succeeded at the task set before him. Now at the age of 27, he turned to Wysteria more and more for new knowledge and advice, but even more so for conversation in general. The bond between them grew and soon Wysteria adopted Nindyl as her son and he welcomed this new role she bestowed upon herself, someone he could call 'Mother', his family.

Once again his studying prevailed in the arcane art, and he rose within the ranks of the Mages guild to Eidikos Magos and he was pleased that Dante also elevated him to the rank of Neophyte within her order, although he still wishes to do more and continue to further himself.

It is also at this age that love has found its way to Nindyl in the form of Daiona, another citizen of Maine and a healer of the realm. This is something very new to Nindyl, being that he has spent a vast majority of his time studying, helping and caring for others. Now this lady returns that caring tenfold if not more and he still doesnt understand why, he just believes he is extremely lucky and that Dante must have somehow been involved no matter how small an amount.

What of this man's future? All I can say is he will walk the lands, spear prominently on show in his hand using it as an elaborate walking staff. Other than that who knows? Only Dante... For she controls all mortal destiny!
